In light of ongoing global health developments related to the COVID19 pandemic, MIRS is being postponed until Fall 2020. We will continue to accept abstracts for the fall symposium. Depending on COVID-19 restrictions in place during Fall 2020, virtual participation may be possible, so please consider being a contributor even if you are unsure of your ability to attend physically.
The MIRS planning committee members look forward to working with the UNT community to bring this new symposium to fruition in the fall. Full details on this will be posted in the near future, and all registered participants will also be contacted directly.
The 2020 Multidisciplinary Information Research Symposium (MIRS) is an annual symposium that showcases the work of scholars and practitioners researching information and its impact on people. One of the primary goals of MIRS is to encourage and empower participants who are new to scholarly communication. Therefore, graduate and undergraduate students at all levels and early professionals are highly encouraged to submit their work.
The theme for MIRS 2020 is Big Data, Information, and Society. Students of all levels and early career professionals are highly encouraged to submit their work.
